Juan Antonio Ponce, the rising star of the Spanish wine scene, is challenging the dominance of Rioja with his wines that astonish with their freshness and purity. First noticed by Robert Parker with his early vintages, Ponce operates in the Manchuela region near Valencia, proving with great success that exceptional wines can be crafted in this area.

Committed to organic farming, reviving indigenous grape varieties, and working with old vines, he elevates the Manchuela appellation to new heights. Often highly rated by Parker, Ponce’s wines are still somewhat under the radar, but his reputation is steadily climbing!
