Wine:

Predominantly Cabernet Franc, the 2019 Anjou-Villages Rouge Le Clos des Cosses comes from just one hectare on this monopoly estate. It delivers a beautiful, refined graphite palate, with a fresh touch of pit fruit flavors and all the finesse of a ripe Cabernet when it's well conducted and judiciously aged. No false note here, on the contrary, but the radiant reading of a grape variety and terroir, which seduces at the highest point, bravo!

Vinification:

Hand harvested, totally de-stemmed, fermented in wood and stainless steel tanks, aged for 12 months in wood and then in concrete tanks for 6 months.

Organic and Biodyvin certified wine.

Cellar aging:

From now until 2027

Certainly one of the oldest vineyards in Anjou, Château de Bois-Brinçon has opened a new chapter in its history with the arrival of Xavier Cailleau, who has given the estate a healthy quality boost. Organic and biodynamic agriculture, parcel selections, manual harvesting, and pampered maturation in barrels or vats now form the fundamentals of a serious and highly commendable range of wines.
