Wine:

Blended from three parcels of sandy and limestone soils, the 2022 Red Saumur offers a smooth, refined expression of Cabernet Franc, with a beautiful touch of tuffeau minerality and fresh fruit aromas. This is a charming, approachable red, crafted with precision—short maceration ensures delicate tannins and a crisp, vibrant character. The estate’s signature style shines through, with barrel aging (without new oak) and jar maturation, bringing clarity, finesse, and energy to the wine. Rated 93/100 by RVF.

Vinification:

Hand-harvested, vines aged between 50 and 60 years, blend of 3 parcels in Fosse-Bellay and Courchamps, short 20-day maceration, little extraction, aged for 5 months, 67% in vats, 30% in barrels and 3% in sandstone jars.
