Wine:

Buoyed by a very high-level, sunny vintage, the 2018 Red Chambolle-Musigny is a great bottle that is beginning to express itself through flavors of fresh fruit and a great deal of finesse, delicately oaked. Magnificent in its power and balance, it still offers great ageing potential, but will be irresistible today with roast poultry or veal chop.

Vinification:

Hand harvested, totally destemmed.
Vinification in open vats for around 4 weeks, then aged in oak barrels for 18 months.

Color:

Deep crimson red.

Nose:

Aromas of raspberry and Morello cherry liqueur mixed with spicy notes.

Palate:

Powerful and well-balanced with full-bodied fruit, let yourself be seduced by this bottle with interesting aging potential, unfolding a juice of great finesse and beautiful freshness.

Temperature:

Serve between 16 and 18°C.

Food and wine pairing:

Tournedos Rossini, rack of lamb with chanterelle mushrooms, roast poultry, veal chop or shank with sage.

Cellar aging:

From now until 2030, and even longer for enthusiasts.
