The 2022 Sancerre Terre de Maimbray Red exudes elegance, with a refined nose and subtle oak influence, carried by delicate stone fruit aromas. On the palate, it delivers a fresh, elegant, and fruit-forward profile that is truly delightful. Decanting will enhance its charm, though it can also be enjoyed in about six months for optimal appreciation.Vinification:
Hand harvested. Manual sorting of bunches. Whole grapes for 15 to 20% of the harvest. Cold pre-fermentation maceration, followed by a 4-week vatting period. Aged in wooden vats for 10 months, with spontaneous malolactic fermentation in spring. Unfiltered wine.Color:
