We’ve been lifelong admirers, devoted to this discreet yet passionate estate. With just under 20 hectares, nearly half of them classified as Grand Cru, these stunning, hand-tended vineyards on steep slopes produce wines of unmatched precision and elegance.
Wine With undeniable class, the 2023 Alsace Grand Cru Sommerberg Riesling White stands out for its pure, delicate, and floral profile, accented by white pepper notes and a pronounced minerality. The palate is remarkably precise, graceful, and complex, echoing the sun-drenched granite terroir from which it comes. A truly great Riesling with exceptional aging potential—10 years or more. Vinification Hand harvested from vines aged 40 to 50 years. Whole berry pressing, static settling, no temperature control, fermentation on lees for 2 to 6 months. Aged on lees for 11 months.
