The estate and the wine A benchmark estate in the Mâconnais, awarded two stars by the prestigious French wine guide the RVF, Domaine Barraud is an essential reference. The meticulous care devoted to both the vineyards and the cellar, combined with organic farming and the expertise of Julien and Anaïs Barraud, elevates their wines to the pinnacle of the appellation. These are age-worthy white wines, distinguished by their precision and impeccable balance.
Wine A pure delight, the 2023 White Mâcon-Fuissé Les Chailles offers a flawless expression of Chardonnay, striking the perfect balance between energy, ripeness, and finesse. The nose is elegant and precise, with delicate floral aromas, showcasing the beautiful ripeness of the harvest and a distinct mineral backbone. On the palate, the wine is lively and refreshing, with a bright, pure profile supported by a subtle, well-judged aging process. Vinification Hand harvested. Vinification and ageing on lees for 11 to 15 months, 2/3 in demi-muids and 1/3 in stainless steel vats. Production of 6,500 bottles.
