The estate and the wine |

Jean Charles Pivot is a notable figure in the Beaujolais, certainly one of its finest ambassadors. Notable too is the celebrity of his brother Bernard, a well known French TV personality from the cultural world. But here when we talk about 'exceptional' we are referring to the excellence of the 2009 vintage. Star of the decade, this vintage produces wines of a rare intensity. |

The Chiroubles Red 2009 is light and easy to drink. The Gamay is captivating with its intense fruitiness, crisp aromas of morello cherries and spices can be found on the nose. A lingering finish deliciously rounds off a wine that has a betwitching charm on the palate. For immediate drinking enjoyment. |
