The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine Located in the heart of Chianti, south of Florence, Agricola Querciabella is one of Tuscany’s standout estates. A pioneer in biodynamic farming for over 20 years and organically cultivated since its founding nearly 50 years ago, the estate is dedicated to low yields and top quality. With high-altitude vineyards (up to 600 meters), hand-harvested grapes, barrel aging, and a fully vegan winemaking approach, Querciabella continues to set the standard for excellence in the region.
Wine A blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Blanc, the 2018 IGT Toscana Batàr White bursts with vibrant notes of citrus, zest, and exotic fruit, striking a perfect balance between intensity and freshness. Fresh and elegant, it gains depth and texture from careful barrel aging, adding richness without overpowering the fruit. A white wine of remarkable complexity and breadth, undeniably among Italy’s finest. Rated 93/100 by our Selection Committee.
Vinification Hand harvested. Vinification and ageing for more than 9 months in 228-litre French oak barrels of delicate and extra-delicate grain, 20% of which are new, with regular stirring of the lees. Residual sugar: 5.13 g/l.

Certified organic and 100% vegan wine.
