The tasting
Color Deep ruby colour, clear and bright.
Nose Aromas of red fruit (strawberries) as well as some toasted notes characteristic of wood aging.
Palate Modern in style, the wine unfolds with candour offering nice volume and fine, silky tannins.

Food Grilled entercôte steak, side of beef with mixed vegetables, roast leg of lamb in a rich sauce, boar fillet mignon in a rich sauce.

From fun wine to wine for grand occasions, the wines are made with passion. Fruit, freshness, deliciousness and elegance, to amaze your taste buds and those of your friends.
Wine Château Roques Mauriac First Wine 2005 is a wine that resonates with the qualities of the vintage. It is muscular, ripe and energetic. It is now showing a fullness of expression.
Vinification Vineyard grown respecting sustainable farming principles; selection of the best parcels, with low yields (45 hl/ha).
Cold pre-fermentation maceration for 5 to 6 days (10°C); alcoholic fermentation at low temperature with frequent punching of the cap with no oxygen (24°C for the Merlots, 18 to 20 °C for the Cabernets). The vatting period lasts for 20 to 25 days. Blending and aging for 12 months, 50% in new barrels.
