The 2019 Vintage Red Porto stands as one of the great successes of the vintage. With a deep, almost black color, it shows beautiful tears, indicating high concentration and rich flavors. The nose reveals fresh fruit and intense aromas of cherry in syrup, with a subtle warmth from the fortifying spirit, though it remains very discreet and perfectly integrated. The pure, juicy, and spicy palate is both dense and firm, making it an excellent match for pan-seared foie gras or blue cheese. The balance, freshness, and aging of this fine bottle are particularly commendable. This Porto is best served chilled, around 10°C.
