Wine:
Le Pommard les Vaumuriens 2008 is a very exciting version of Pinot Noir grown on the great Côte de Beaune terroirs. There is no hardness at all in this wine. It's all fruit. The fresh, precise tannins do not overshadow the intense red fruit. The honesty of the terroir arranges this gentle matter so that the wine is long and languid on the palate.Vinification:
Hand harvesting, vatting for 15 to 18 days at low temperature, aging in osk casks in 19th Century vaulted cellars providing ideal conditions, for a period of 14 to 16 months. The proportion of new barrels, that is likely to vary according to the vintage, is used for a third of this wine on average. These casks, that come from quality barrel makers, have been carefully selected for their grain and light toasting.Color:
Beautiful dark red colour with garnet highlights. The wine is bright and clear and possesses nice concentrationNose:
Powerful on the nose with aromas of very ripe red and black fruit and toasted mocha.Palate:
The tannin is perceptible without being predominant and the oak is discrete. Rich and supple on the palate, powerful and fruity on entry, the wine then fines down with mentholy acidity. Attractive length on the palate.

Enjoy up to and including 2020Since its founding in 1825, the Faiveley family has devoted most of its resources to acquiring vines located in the best "climats". Today the estate is, in terms of surface area, one of the largest in Burgundy. Erwan Faiveley, the 6th Faively of the name, recently took it over. His sole desire: make "haute couture" wines!
