AWARDS

Les Meilleurs Vins de France 2011 (RVF) : 15/20
Estate awarded 1 star in the Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France 2011.

Wine:

Pierres Blanches is a wine from a specific Domaine Luneau-Papin parcel of vines. It brings out the typical mineral characteristics of the Muscadet in a big way. Taut and chiseled on the palate, the wine is shot through with citrus peel notes. This wine is above all an invigorating breath of fresh air. This blast of saline freshness will enhance any seafood or fish dish. Its mineral breath will give them the perfect lift.

Vinification:

Hand harvested, pneumatic pressing, thermo-regulated vinification at 20°C, fermentation for 4 weeks using natural yeasts, vinification and aging on the lees for 9 months until bottling.

Color:

Pale, clear, crystalline colour, slight green highlights.

Nose:

Subtle and mineral on the nose, citrus peel and floral aromas.

Palate:

Taut and chiseled on the palate, mineral and slightly iodized notes. A high flying Muscadet!

Temperature:

Serve between 10 and 12°C.

Food and wine pairing:

As an aperitif, seafood (oysters...), fish, white meat.

Cellar aging:

Enjoy up to and including 2013

The Estate is a family affair. In 2005 Pierre and Monique are joined by their son, Pierre-Marie. Here, each "terroir" undergoes very special vinification and gives the Melon de Bourgogne, the only grape variety, its nobility. Certainly one of the best estates in the region!
