The 2023 Red Rioja Alta Finca Cienvacas is all about pure, unpretentious enjoyment. This high-altitude Tempranillo, crafted without oak, opens with warm notes of candied fruit and macerated grapes. Its smooth, rich texture, with hints of violet and dark fruits and smooth tannins, stays delightfully juicy. A fruit-forward Rioja, perfect alongside a ribeye or hanger steak with shallots. Rated 90/100 by the Selection Committee.

Vinification:

Hand harvested. Fermentation in open vats. Aged 100% in stainless steel vats.

Color:

Intense red with carmine-violets.

Nose:

With aromas of candied fruit and macerated grapes in a warm, concentrated style.

Palate:

Delicate hints of violet and dark fruits come through in a smooth, well-rounded profile with integrated tannins. This cuvée is overflowing with richness and vibrant fruity aromas.

Temperature:

Serve between 14 and 16°C.

Beef strip steak with shallots, roast beef in a puff pastry crust and reduced jus, duck breast lacquered with spices.
