Founded in 2009 on the slopes of Vergisson and Davayé, Domaine David Bienfait embodies the passion and dedication of this young winemaker. With just 6 hectares, he highlights the splendor of southern Burgundy, producing wines from Pouilly, Saint-Véran, and Mâcon-Villages.

Sourced from young vines with a stunning view of Mont-Blanc, the 2023 white Mâcon-Villages showcases lovely ripeness, coupled with the freshness of a perfectly crafted Chardonnay, free from oak influence. The floral and mineral notes are subtle and pleasing, delivering a fresh, finely chiseled, and delicately acidic profile that is ready to enjoy now. This is a well-balanced and expertly managed example of Mâcon-Villages, perfect for pairing with seafood or as an aperitif. Rated 92/100 by the Selection Committee.

Born from hillside vines on a limestone bedrock, the 2023 white Saint-Véran Clos des Poncetys perfectly captures the essence of this chalky terroir. The nose is both ripe and floral, with well-integrated oak, embodying a beautiful minerality. On the palate, it delivers the pleasure of a balanced, precise, and finely crafted Saint-Véran, with a zesty tension brought by the vintage that suits it perfectly. The old vines from 1940 on the south-facing terroir of Vergisson bring an undeniable extra dimension to the wine.
