Yellow since 1877.

Among the greatest Champagne houses, Veuve Clicquot stands out with its distinctively vinous style. It is one of the most reliable and sought-after names in the appellation, with each cuvée shining with unmatched character. Boasting a superb vineyard of premier and grand cru plots, and now incorporating barrel and cask aging, Champagne Veuve Clicquot is renowned for its Carte Jaune cuvée, the top-selling champagne in the United States.

The boldness of Madame Clicquot.

Born on December 16, 1777, Barbe Nicole Ponsardin became Madame Clicquot at just 21, marking the beginning of her profound influence on the history of Champagne. Widowed at 27, she took the reins of the Champagne house. Her ingenuity, strategy, and determination made her a visionary entrepreneur.

Timeless innovation.

A story of innovation driven by eternal progress.
In 1810, Madame Clicquot created the first known vintage champagne. Then, in 1816, she invented the riddling table, which clarifies the wines and reveals the champagne’s transparency. Two years later, in 1818, she introduced the first blended rosé champagne, born from the union of red and white wine.
