Wine:
A symbol of the House's success, made from old meunier vines, the Blanc Brut 1er Cru 'Les vignes de Vrigny' Champagne is unique. The 2018 harvest base, supplemented with wines from 2017 and 2016, gives it a superior dimension, with exemplary body and maturity. It is a bubble that crackles and sparkles around a nose of dried fruit, honey, baked apple. The palate is terribly fresh and dynamic, asserted by the very low dosage (2 g/l, practically nothing). It has a real place as an aperitif or at the beginning of a meal; with marinated fish, it is simply magical!Vinification:
Hand harvested, elaborated only from old vines located in the Vrigny 1er Cru vineyard. Vinification with indigenous yeasts, base of main harvest 2018 (50%), 2017 (30%) and 2016 (20%), long ageing on lees: 38 months before disgorgement. Unfiltered wine.Dosage 2 gr/l.

From now on
Egly-Ouriet, a paragon of Champagne excellence and awarded 3 stars by the RVF Guide, has carved out a name commensurate with its high standards. Spanning nearly 17 hectares, with ten classified as Grand Cru (in Ambonnay, Bouzy, and Verzenay), Francis Egly continues his remarkable work, which very few houses can match, now with the support of his son Charles and daughter Clémence. The balance and finesse of his wines are unmatched and represent an exceptional classicism.
From the very first cuvée in the range, one is captivated by this honest style, which balances strength and restraint while skillfully handling pinot noir. These are robust champagnes, underscored by very old vines, wines vinified in barrels and matured extensively in the cellar to refine and blossom at just the right moment. Purity, nobility, and definition are impressively regular features.
