Wine:
The 2019 red Saint-Estèphe de Cos Labory is clearly a model of smooth and confident Bordeaux. The nose is very pure, reflecting a beautiful maturity of the harvest, yet remains fresh, with notes of stone fruits, plum, and spices. The palate is harmonious, carried by very fine tannins with integrated oak, which is present but restrained, ending with a hint of licorice. This wine is still in an evolving phase and requires patience, but what a delight! Rated 92+/100 by the Committee.Vinification:

Benefiting from a terroir of deep gravel similar to that of its illustrious neighbor, Cos d'Estournel, Cos Labory is an understated Grand Cru Classé. It may not be as well-known as its counterparts, but it certainly delivers wines of equal allure and quality. In recent vintages, it has even crafted standout successes that rival the leading names of the appellation.
This family-owned estate, championed by Bernard Audoy, deserves close attention as it undoubtedly represents the best value for money among the Grand Cru Classés of Bordeaux.
