Still youthful, the 2022 white Chablis will benefit from decanting or being served in a large glass to properly aerate it. The essence of Chablis is captured in the glass, with intense shell, floral, and mineral notes. It’s a delightful, crisp Chardonnay without oak aging, releasing the purity of its fruit, ending with very fine, persistent bitterness. This wine is well-suited for aging 5 to 10 years without any issues.
Marked by a prominent limestone character and a delicate floral touch, the 2022 white Chablis 1er Cru Beauroy is gracefully and effectively presented. Its very restrained aging process enhances a clean, refined, and classic juice, at perfect maturity, that should still be aged in the cellar due to its youthfulness. It will be a delight to open next spring, decanted, paired with seafood or fine fish.
